A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be resolved by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be quite easy in case you have a cloud package with our company. You can enable this feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you if a particular mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any time. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.
